For clothing, a rating of 5,000mm or above is generally a reliable choice for UK camping trips.
However, if you're heading somewhere particularly exposed or expecting heavier wet weather, it's worth looking at gear with a higher rating for extra peace of mind. Tents tend to have their own waterproof ratings too, so it's always worth checking the product description for full details.
Do I need a separate groundsheet for my tent?
It depends on the tent. Many tents, including our Regatta Kivu range featured above, come with a built-in groundsheet, but a separate one can still be a sensible extra layer of protection. It helps protect the tent floor from punctures and adds a bit of extra waterproofing against rising damp.
Can I return a sale item if it doesn't fit?
Yes, of course! We have a 60-day return policy, and you're welcome to return items (bar certain items for hygiene reasons) for a swap or refund, as long as it's unworn, in its original packaging, and in a condition you'd want to receive it yourself.
