mens hoodies & sweatshirts

French terry has visible loops on the inside and feels lighter and more breathable, making it useful across seasons. Brushed-back fleece has a soft raised interior that traps more air and feels warmer. Fabric weight and fibre blend still matter, so two ‘fleece’ hoodies can perform very differently.

A crew-neck sweatshirt layers more cleanly beneath a coat, overshirt or blazer because there is no hood creating bulk at the neck. A hoodie adds head coverage, pockets and a more casual look. Choose the sweatshirt for versatile layering and the hoodie for relaxed standalone wear.

A full zip vents quickly and is easy to remove, making it useful for travel, gyms and changeable weather. A pullover has fewer openings, feels warmer across the front and often holds its shape better. The zip adds convenience but can create bulk when sitting or layering.

A higher GSM generally means a denser, heavier garment, but it does not guarantee softness or insulation. A 280gsm unbrushed fleece can feel cooler than a lighter fabric with a fluffy interior. Use GSM alongside lining, fibre blend and intended season rather than treating it as a quality score.

Ribbing can stretch through heat, overloading pockets, pulling sleeves and repeated tumble drying. Wash and dry according to the label, avoid hanging a very wet heavy sweatshirt and do not force cuffs over the hands. A rib with elastane usually recovers better than loose all-cotton trim.
