WarmFlight is used on Quiksilver thermal layers designed to retain heat while maintaining breathability. It appears in different weights and constructions, including grid fleece and heavier outer-style pieces. Check the product weight, lining and intended use because the WarmFlight name does not make every fleece equally warm.

Grid fleece is lower bulk and moves moisture efficiently, making it suitable beneath a snow shell or during active walking. Sherpa or high-pile fleece feels cosier and provides more static warmth but can be bulky and allow wind through. Use grid construction for technical layering and pile for casual coastal or après wear.

A half zip reduces bulk and holds warmth across the front, working well as a midlayer. A full zip ventilates quickly and is easier to remove indoors or during travel. Under a ski jacket, check that collars and zips do not stack into a pressure point at the chin.

It is comfortable after changing into dry clothes, but ordinary fleece absorbs some moisture and does not block strong wind. Remove wet rashwear first and use a changing robe or weatherproof jacket at an exposed beach. A fleece is the insulating midlayer, not the changing shelter.

It should sit close enough not to bunch while preserving shoulder and elbow movement. The hem must remain covered by the outer jacket and pockets should stay accessible. Avoid sizing up so far that excess fabric fills the shell's ventilation space and restricts movement.
